The Black Family Engagement Program aims to equip individuals with I/DD delays and their families with the necessary information, skills, and support to actively participate in and contribute to their communities.

Monthly Workshops:
Providing 11 monthly workshops, each spanning three hours, specifically designed for Black families and/or self-advocates. These workshops serve as platforms for approximately 10-15 parents and/or self-advocates to gather and engage in valuable discussions.
Resource Sharing:
Each workshop includes the sharing of resources relevant to the discussed topics, empowering participants with access to valuable information and support networks.
Support Opportunities:
The program offers opportunities for participants to voice their concerns, opinions, and experiences within the educational system and civic engagement events, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
