About the program
Kobcinta Aqoonta Dhalaanka (KAD) is dedicated to providing early childhood disability support and services for Black children aged 0-3. Our Early Learning team is committed to identifying each child’s unique needs and connecting families with the resources necessary to make a positive impact on their developmental years. We aim to empower these children to reach their full potential and thrive alongside their peers.

Child Care Resources and Referral:
Assisting families in finding suitable child care options that meet their child's needs.
Early Intervention:
Referring children to early intervention services to address developmental delays or disabilities.
Transitioning to Public School (Special Education IEP)
Supporting families during the transition process to ensure a smooth integration into public school special education programs.
Home Visiting
Offering home-based support services to assist families in addressing their child's needs within the comfort of their own home.
Direct Support Services
Providing direct assistance and guidance to families in accessing necessary resources and services.
Parent Education Workshops
Conducting workshops and educational sessions to empower parents with knowledge and skills to support their child's development.
Advocacy
Advocating on behalf of families to ensure they receive the support and services they are entitled to.
Support Groups
Facilitating support groups where families can connect, share experiences, and provide mutual support.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Connecting to ABA services to address behavioral challenges and support skill development in children with disabilities.
